Empowering Kids April 2008

 Dear Suzanne
I hope you are enjoying your April! Our family had a great time celebrating our risen Savior this Easter (did Easter come quick this year or was it just me?) and we took our "spring break" up the coast to where I believe God dwells today, Carmel California. It's amazing what can happen when you cram three kids and two adults into a car for 6 hours! Awesome? Tiresome? Then Some? It was a great time to retreat and replenish with the family. I have been told that there are "seasons" of ministry. Well, my experience has taught me that "seasons of ministry" are similar to the seasons in California. THERE AREN'T ANY! Its the same "season" all year long. (Quick apology for my friends shoveling snow, using an umbrella or are in otherwise "seasonal" locations.) Please get the point here. There really are no "busy seasons" in ministry. It's busy all the time, one long season, Amen? We must be extremely diligent at planning times with friends, family and having fun or we may miss out on some "abundant life" God offers us. Here is a great reminder from Ecclesiastes 8:15 from the New International Version, So I commend the enjoyment of life, because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun. Now that's awesome!
Have a Great Week! Craig
